An annual experience offered during the spring trimester for all 6th graders lasting 4 days and 3 nights at a local Northwest regional campground.

After School Enrichment Classes

Enrichment courses are offered after school for our elementary students. The classes vary in offering, length and cost. Please check the website for updated information.

Student of the Month

Students of the Month are recognized throughout the year for demonstration of Christian character on more than just an occasional basis. The student and his or her parents are invited to an in-house dessert to be recognized by the administrators of the school.

Chapel & Spiritual Emphases Weeks

Chapel and spiritual emphases weeks are very important. Elementary chapel occurs every Thursday morning from 8:45-9:20. Students hear biblically based messages weekly. Junior High has chapel Thursday morning from 9:25-10:10 in the North Auditorium. Each class is asked to present a chapel to the elementary student body sometime during the year. The theme this year is "trusting in God" (Prov. 3:5-6). Additionally, we have two spiritual emphasis weeks at the elementary level only (chapel occurs each day on those weeks) and on occasion we have guest speakers as scheduled by the administrators.

Prayer

Each day begins with prayer in our classrooms. Students pray for one another, their families, our school, our country, and on many occasions our world. They are encouraged to express thanks, share needs, and practice their Christian faith daily through this biblical mandate. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 "be joyful always, pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."

Reading Contests

Our librarian offers friendly reading challenges for first through sixth grade students in the form of contests during the school year. Students are encouraged to participate and specifics about each age level's challenge are presented to the students early in the year.

Book Fairs

Book fairs occur about two times each year. This is a great time to find exciting new titles and support the reading goals of our students, teachers, and librarian.

Annual Talent Show

This fun and entertaining evening event occurs each February with auditions occurring in January. The funds raised from this event help 6th grade students attend Outdoor Education Camp.
