Girls Basketball Second Game Update

  • Girls Basketball

Another game, another update!

On March 8th our RCS D1 girls had a tough competition against the out-of-league Evergreen Christian School. Our notable scorers were Ell Sakai with 7 points on the board from making fast breaks away from the defense, Sonia Fattore making 2 outside shots, and Sydney Wales with a free throw. Unfortunately our team lost the game, but of course, not without making ECS work for the win! The final score was 12-29.

With a neck and neck second half, our RCS D2 took the lead in the last 5 seconds with a free throw shot, a rebound, and another basket made ALL by Raegan Riley!! Down by 8 points after the first half, our girls kept up a strong defense ultimately turning the game around. Another shoutout to Haley Schuder for her hustle down the court on fast breaks as she added 6 points on for the team! The game ended with a score of 18-17.

Great job Royals! The next match is Tuesday March 14th at Evergreen School in Shoreline, where D1 will play at 4pm and D2 will play at 5pm.
