Things to Know this Week (May 19th)

RCS Families,

 

The next three weeks are an important time for our middle school students. This week, our 6th grade students will be attending their Outdoor Education Retreat. The week of June 2, our 7th and 8th grade students will head out on their End-of-Year Retreat. Please join me in praying for them—especially that God would move in each student's life during the evening chapels. These moments away from daily routines are invaluable opportunities for students to grow and deepen their faith. I’m excited to see what God has in store for them!

 

Here are a few things to know this week:

 

Musical Theater Production | Seussical the Musical | Carco Theater | May 29 - 31

Tickets are selling fast, and we anticipate sell-out performances! Don’t miss your chance to see Renton Christian School’s Royal Theatre Company perform Seussical the Musical at Carco Theatre in Renton.

Staff vs. Student Basketball Game | Tuesday, May 27 at 4pm

Join us for our annual Staff vs. Students Basketball Game! Come cheer on your favorite team after school on Tuesday, May 27 at 4 PM.

 

Field Day Volunteers Needed | June 10 & 11

We need parent volunteers to help make Field Day a success! It’s a fun and meaningful way to celebrate our students and wrap up the school year.

Save the Date! Profile of a Student Awards Ceremony | Thursday, June 12

On June 12, we will honor our students’ character through the "Profile of a Student" Awards Ceremony. Awards are based on the characteristics and indicators that define our Profile of a Student. Parents are welcome to attend! The event will take place in the Auditorium Building. A detailed schedule will be shared soon.

 

No School Memorial Day Weekend | May 23^rd & 26^th  

We will observe a four-day break for Memorial Day weekend. There will be no school on:

• Friday, May 23 – Unused weather make-up day
  • BASC open until 4pm
  • SLC closed for teacher in-service training
• Monday, May 26 – Memorial Day (All campuses closed)
