Things to Know this Week (Feb. 14th)

RCS Families,

Thank you for your continued trust and partnership. We are excited to share that 90% of our families have already reenrolled their students for the 2025-2026 school year! We look forward to the privilege of continuing to serve your family in the year ahead. Additionally, thank you for your ongoing support in inviting friends to join our community. We've already had many wonderful new families apply, and we’re excited for the future.

As we head into Mid-Winter Break, my prayer is that God would provide you with rest and that you create lasting memories with your family.

Here are some additional things to know this week:

Reenrollment Deadline Tomorrow | February 15^th | For 2025-2026 School Year  

90% of students have already reenrolled for next year! With new applications received, one grade is already full, and we anticipate that more grades will fill up soon. Please don’t miss out on a spot for your student(s) for next year. CLICK HERE to begin the reenrollment process. If you have questions, please contact our Registrar, Charity Warren. The reenrollment deadline is tomorrow, February 15^th. Please be sure to reenroll today. Thank you for trusting us with your children.

 

No School | February 17^th-21^st | Mid-Winter Break

There will be no classes February 17^th-21^st for Mid-Winter Break. BASC & SLC will be closed on February 17^th for Presidents’ Day. BASC will be open for full-day care on February 18^th – 21^st. SLC will be open regular hours on February 18^th & 19^th but will close at 4pm on February 20^th and will be closed on February 21^st for Teacher In-Service.

 

SAVE THE DATE! | RCS Mother-Son Night | March 27^th 

Our second annual Mother-Son event will take place on March 27^th at Sky Zone, the indoor trampoline park in Tukwila, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. RCS mothers and mother figures, get ready for an incredible night of fun with your son. This is a free event for RCS families. RCS Spring Gala Tickets Available Now | Friday, April 4^th | Main Auditorium

Join us at our Annual Spring Gala on April 4^th for an unforgettable evening filled with community spirit, laughter, and support for our school! This year’s theme is Boots, Bowties, & Bling. Expect a BBQ Dinner, festive games, exciting raffles, a silent auction, and a live auction. Doors open at 5pm, dinner is served at 6pm, and childcare will be available! Please buy your tickets today! New Family Open House | 6pm, Thursday, February 27^th  

Please help us spread the word about our New Family Open House on Thursday, February 27^th at 6pm! Share the event on Facebook and Instagram. Families will learn about our Renton Campus (KP-8^th grade) as well as our Fairwood Campus (7^th – 12^th grade). Prayer & Encouragement:

On this Valentine's Day, I want to remind you of the overwhelming, unshakable love that Christ has for each of us. As Romans 8:35-39 declares, nothing—neither hardship, nor distance, nor fear—can separate us from God’s love. His love is the anchor that holds us firm through every season of life. Whether you are facing challenges or celebrating joys, know that God’s love is constant, a perfect love that supports and strengthens.

As you continue to love and guide your children, know that you are reflecting the very love that Christ has shown to us. His grace in your life empowers you to love them with patience, wisdom, and compassion. In every moment, remember that you are not alone—God is with you, and His love surrounds your family, today and always.

May His peace, joy, and love fill your hearts and homes this Valentine’s Day and in all the days to come.
