It has been an amazing week having everyone back on campus for the start of the 2023-2024 school year! As we start our first FULL week of school, we have some exciting events coming! 

 

Here is what our Royals will be up to this week (September 11-15th):

 

Tuesday, September 12th

Back to School Night (KPrep-6th Grade) | 7PM

Parents of Kindergarten Prep all the way to 6th Grade, we welcome you to join us on Tuesday, September 12th at 7pm as we take some time to get to know one another! We invite you to take this evening with us as you visit your student's classroom and get to hear an introduction from their teacher as well as learn the basic structure of your child's day here at RCS. There will be two identical sessions, 7:00-7:30pm and 7:35-8:05pm to accommodate those of you with multiple students. We look forward to seeing you! Please head directly to your student's classroom at this time. 

 

Thursday, September 14th

Back to School Night (7th and 8th Grade) | 7PM

Parents of those in 7th and 8th grade this evening is for you! We invite you to join us in following along in experiencing a glimpse of your student's 1st-6th period. Upon arrival you will receive your child's schedule and don't worry, we will NOT be passing out tardies. See below for a tentative schedule of 7th and 8th Back to School Night:

Parents arrive to receive schedules | 7:00 - 7:05 p.m.

Period 1 (10 min) | 7:10 - 7:20 pm

Period 2 (10 min) | 7:22 - 7:32 pm

  Passing (2 min)

Period 3 (10 min)  | 7:34 - 8:44 pm

  Passing (2 min)

Period 4 (10 min)  | 8:46 - 8:56 pm

Period 5 (10 min) 8:58 - 8:08 pm

    Passing (2 min)

Period 6 (10 min) 8:10 - 8:20pm

 

Friday, September 15th

Spirit Day | Washington Sports Teams

It's officially time for the first spirit day of the year! Join us Friday in showing your spirit for your favorite Washington Sports team!

Please refer to Non-Uniform Day Policies listed below:

- Clothing must promote an image of pride and school spirit and to honor God, honor others and honor ourselves.
- Wording on t-shirts or other garments should be limited and convey a positive message.
- Shirts must have sleeves.
- Clothing must not be too revealing or immodest, show midriff or back and should fit properly.
- Hats or hoods are not to be worn in the building.
- Shorts, skirts and dresses must be no higher than 2” above the knee.

Spiritual Emphasis Week

We are so excited for our first Spiritual Emphasis Week of the year where our Elementary students will get to learn more about Godly Wisdom and put their knowledge to the test with "Think Tank" and our Middle Schoolers will be spending each day learning about practical tools to keep in their "Toolbox" when it comes to exercising their faith and keeping God at the center.
