Love is in the air in junior high - let me be specific, God's love! I am excited for this week's special Valentine's emphasis chapel "Fearfully and Wonderfully Made." ASB and staff have been purposeful and thoughtful in planning this week's chapel which will include a special time of worship and prayer. We are focusing on our identity in Christ and the one who loves us most.

Please take a moment to pray with us that God will speak through students and staff and that hearts will be touched. It is a unique opportunity that we can focus on God's love for Valentine's day.

One-to-One Device Update for 17-18
For the 2017-2018 school year, 7th and 8th grade students will transition beyond the current Bring Your Own Device program by interacting with more content online through a 1:1 Device program. We are excited that implementation of our new learning management system is moving forward for next school year. Here are a few highlights for the transition:

  1. Students will receive Office 365 for education at no charge.
  2. Students will have an email address with the school domain to use for accessing RenWeb and online content.
  3. Students will provide their own device per the specifications previously communicated. The specifications are available here.
To implement our 1:1 program, we are increasing our wireless network infrastructure and moving staff and students to Office 365. Stay tuned for additional updates!

Are you using ParentsWeb? Homework assignments are posted online every Monday and grades are entered weekly through ParentsWeb. Please note that if you receive a "missing" or "incomplete" assignment email,
additional notes from the teacher can be viewed by accessing the online grade book in ParentsWeb. Click here to login.
Parent Education Night March 6th
How often do you think about
your child's use of social media such as Instagram, Snapchat, and other social networking apps?

Join us on March 6th for a parent education night focused on kids and social media. This will be an eye opening night from which you will walk away with tools to have conversations with your child and guide them to sound digital citizenship. Presenter Pastor Matt Harder is the NextGen pastor for New Life Church and works with students every day. Come hear his insights in working with teens. You can also check out this article to get you on your way to being more tech savvy and in the know.
