Students and staff have had a strong and successful start to the school year! We kicked off the school year with Spiritual Emphasis Week in September and then retreat in October for 7th and 8th grades. We also implemented Office 365 and the RenWeb LMS learning environment. We are still working out some bugs.

Thank you for a great September and half of October. Staff continue to reinforce routines as we head into the short weeks of November.

Student ID Cards on sale this week!
Sixth through 8th grade students can purchase a student ID card for $10 at lunch this week. Proceeds benefit middle school activities throughout the school year. ID cards can be used for student discounts at various venues.

Students who purchase one will also receive two additional free dress days (dates yet to be determined).
One-to-One Device Update for 17-18

All 7th and 8th grade students are successfully online in Office 365 and the RenWeb Learning Management System. Here are a few details of lessons learned. We are still figuring out how the LMS interacts with RenWeb for teachers and ParentsWeb for parents.
  1. All students have successfully logged in to O365 and RW LMS. Students sometimes email me asking for their RW login information. They can retrieve it by clicking on "forgot password" and checking their school email.
  2. Students will need to log in to ParentsWeb (same as you) using their own credentials to check grades. They need to click on the "student" button when they do. They do not have access to financial information which is only accessible to parents. RW is working on future grade integration within the LMS so that students don't have to log in to two different sites.
  3. Homework is visible to students in ParentsWeb and the LMS. I am working with staff to figure out where their entries are being displayed. We are working on streamlining the information.

Thank you for working with us on this transition. It has been beneficial to both teachers and students to have access to technology in the classroom for research, class discussion boards, and retrieval of lost handouts.
