I hope you had a great Easter break! We are nearing the last quarter of the year. Fourth quarter starts on Monday. I had a teacher tell me today that there are exactly two months of school left as of Friday. I refuse to count because it is these moments in which I proclaim, "It's not enough time!"

It is also this point in the year at which I reflect on how much our students have accomplished and how far they have come. They have grown in height and stature (Luke 2:52). It is a privilege to be a part of that process. I am blessed to see not only their academic and physical growth, but their spiritual growth as well.

As we head into the last stretch of the year, students will tire. Encourage them to finish strong. When I used to run half marathons, I paced myself so that I always had a little extra to give at the last mile. We all need to do this in life as well.

To the students: You got this!

End of 3rd Quarter
Friday, 4/13 marks the end of the 3rd quarter. Things to note:
  1. Sixth - 8th grade students are dismissed at 11:30am on Friday. Elementary students have a regularly scheduled school day and dismissal.
  2. If your child needs BASC for the 2nd half of the day beginning at 11:45am, please email me so arrangements can be made. Students not picked up by 11:45am will be sent to BASC.
  3. Report cards will be emailed on Monday, 4/23.
  4. Students will receive their 4th quarter elective schedule on Wednesday. Classes begin on Monday, 4/16. You can see in which classes your child is enrolled by going to ParentsWeb.
8th Grade Recognition Meeting Friday at 8:30am
As we head in to the end of the year, it's time to start planning our 8th grade recognition for Tuesday, June 12th. This is a special time of recognizing our 8th graders, their time at RCS, and sending them off to their high school adventure.

On Friday, 4/13 at 8:30, there is a planning meeting. This is a great way to get those final SOS hours. Please email me if you would like to be part of the committee. Also, please let me know whether or not you can attend the meeting on Friday during which I will go over what has been done in past years.

Portable Devices for 7th and 8th grades for 18-19

As we look ahead to the 2018-2019 school year, current sixth graders going into 7th grade will need a device for school. This computer will be used in the classroom for Office 365 and accessing online class content through ParentsWeb and a learning management system. The specifications for devices can be found on the school website or by clicking this link.
