Qualifying for Full Time Status

To qualify for full-time status, a student must take a minimum of 5 courses per semester.

Renton Christian Online School has a selective admissions policy. RCS accepts students only after applications have been reviewed and approved and all required paperwork received.

Steps for Full Time Enrollment

Step 1: Complete the Student Application Online

Complete the online application process. Either pay relevant fees online or in the school office.

Step 2: Take the SmarterMeasure Test

Once an application has been submitted, the students will receive a confirmation email directing them to the SmarterMeasure website. The email also provides a username and password, and the student is expected to login and complete the online readiness test for Renton Christian.

PARENTS: Please be sure that your student is set up and prepared to take the readiness test. The test has seven sections and should take about an hour. The student can choose to take breaks during testing. Test results will be sent to the student as well as to the RCS registrar within a few minutes of completion.

Step 3: Schedule Your Family Interview

Once the SmarterMeasure Readiness Test has been successfully completed, the student will receive a confirmation email. Next, an interview will be scheduled with one of the RCS administrators.

NOTE: Please be sure you have completed the SmarterMeasure Test and have received the results before scheduling your interview. RCS will want to review the test results and be prepared to discuss any potential challenges in being a successful online student during this interview.

Step 4: Provide Required Forms

The following documents are required for a full-time student to be successfully enrolled in the Renton Christian Online School. Forms can be faxed to: 425-264-0291.

  • Official Transcripts (if applicable)
  • Authorization For Release of Student Records (this document will be emailed to parent to complete and send to current school in order to release records to RCS).
  • Standardized Test Records. Call 425-226-0820. If the student does not have standardized test records (i.e., WSAL, SAT), then we will make arrangements for Math and English standardized testing.
  • Birth Certificate
  • Immunization Records
  • Parent/Student Handbook Acknowledgement Page

Step 5: Receive Acceptance Confirmation Letter

Step 6: Placement Conference with Assistant Middle School Principal

Student/Parent will be contacted to discuss student's course level, academic policies, enrollment, selection of classes and the graduation plan.
